Title: Pokemon X and Y Pokemon typing/how to evolve them
Post by: Honedge on August 03, 2013, 02:48:23 pm
Fenneken will be a Fire/Fairy type.
Chespin will be a Grass/Ground type. (Who would have guessed.)
Froakie will be a Water/Dark type.
In order to get Pangoro, you have to level up Pancham to level 32 with an another dark type on your team.  So, I was suggest you get Froakie.  You can catch Pancham in the first forest in the game.  In the first route you can catch Fletchling and 1 other pokemon (I forgot what it was).
I saw a video on corro corro and saw the guy who was player in X and Y.  He had Honedge at level 32.  So, you might get a Honedge in mid game.
You can get Clauncher and Skrelp on route 13 by fishing.  Clauncher is X exclusive and Skrelp is Y exclusive.  Clauncher and Skrelp reach their full evolve at level 30 - 36.  (Forgot what level)
So, here is some stuff for X and Y, hope it helped.
Post your team below for X and Y so far.  Here's mine; Pangoro, Talonflame, Clauncher, Honedge, and not sure about the next 2 pokemon.

No idea. I will decide in the moment, but I have a rule in all pokemon games to not have two or more pokemon that include the same type.

Why not take another Pancham with you.

I guess they're trying to be creative, and more convenient. But also, I'm interested to see the new evolution techniques.

BTW WAIT. THE STARTERS DON'T HAVE THEIR TYPINGS RELEASED YET. THAT'S PURELY SPECULATION.

I forgot but one pokemon that they showed us thats a fairy type evolves from a moon stone.  And a friend of mine on the server knows some one from gamefreak.  He also saw it in a corro corro magazine.  I bet you Ali these will be the typings.

No offense but he can't know anyone from Gamefreak unless he's British or Japanese, since the only people that work at Gamefreak are Japanese or British (the British one is the guy that made the Vanillish/vanillite/vanilluxe evolution chain).  I've heard plenty of people say that their parents work at gamefreak or something and that mewsix will come out in gen 48 or some crazy shit like that.  It probably isn't true.

I bet you half of my money on the PokéServer that this isn't the case.

Nope, that was cut-off like 2 months ago. The video was in May, and Pokémon hasn't stepped up, and Pokémon fan sites have confirmed this as fake as well.

The only true thing that he said was that Clauncher is X exclusive and Skrelp is Y exclusive.

My starter will be chosen on the day. :3 (Probably Chespin)

GAME FREAK IS LITERALLY GOING ALL OUT FOR THIS AND ALL OF YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS ARE JUST SHITTING ON THIS IDEA.  IT WAS JUST CONFIRMED THAT THESE FORMS ONLY WORK IN BATTLE, SO SERIOUSLY CALM THE FUCK DOWN.  HOW THE FUCK CAN THIS IDEA RUIN THE GAME?  IT CAN ONLY ENHANCE IT!  DON’T SAY IT BREAKS POKEMON TRADITION BECAUSE THINK OF ALL THE OTHER TRADITIONS THAT WERE BROKEN BEFORE.  THIS HATE LEGITIMATELY PISSES ME OFF SINCE I THINK THIS IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO OLD POKEMON EVER.
Apologies for the caps.  I can’t wait to hear everyone change their minds about this idea when Mega Charizard ends up being a Fire/Dragon Type.  And if you guys bitch then you are being hypocrites for wanting to make Charizard a Dragon.  Also, i really hope all starters get this treatment.  It would be so legit.

GAME FREAK IS LITERALLY GOING ALL OUT FOR THIS AND ALL OF YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS ARE JUST SHITTING ON THIS IDEA. They should go all out for something people actually asked for. IT WAS JUST CONFIRMED THAT THESE FORMS ONLY WORK IN BATTLE, SO SERIOUSLY CALM THE FUCK DOWN. I'm still refusing to use them. HOW THE FUCK CAN THIS IDEA RUIN THE GAME? I didn't say it would. IT CAN ONLY ENHANCE IT! Can't say I agree with that though. DON’T SAY IT BREAKS POKEMON TRADITION BECAUSE THINK OF ALL THE OTHER TRADITIONS THAT WERE BROKEN BEFORE. I didn't say that either. THIS HATE LEGITIMATELY PISSES ME OFF SINCE I THINK THIS IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO OLD POKEMON EVER. I liked the additional evolutions such as Magmortar and Weavile more.
Apologies for the caps.  I can’t wait to hear everyone change their minds about this idea when Mega Charizard ends up being a Fire/Dragon Type. I wouldn't care, I always picked Bulbasaur. What "awesome" change is in store for him? Grass Dragon? Pft. And if you guys bitch then you are being hypocrites for wanting to make Charizard a Dragon. I never asked for that. Also, i really hope all starters get this treatment. See my previous statement. It would be so legit. I disagree.

My opinion is above in the margins.

Alright, fair enough. But what is your reasoning behind this? Is it the nostalgia value? Please explain, I'm just curious as to why you are so against this change.

I am opposed to a change that is so low on the request list.
Hoenn remake, merge all 5 (now 6) regions into one game, raise the level cap,

not trying to make the good stuff 'better' by putting 4 letters in front of its name. Because once you take game balance into account, that's essentially all it does.

I completely agree with the Hoenn remake, as that is much needed and held back.
But all the complete regions would be out of the question at this point. That would imply that Gamefreak is finishing the Pokémon series, which I really doubt will happen any time soon. And as with the level cap, I think they've added the easy and hard caps in Black & White 2, but they should be more accessible, not after finishing the game. Good points made though.
