Is the rule that pokemon have to be set to lv 50, necessary? It just seems that if you have spent all that training to get your pokemon to a higher level, its a waste of time. Plus, It gives us a clear winner of the tournament.

No, they will be automatically set I'm pretty sure as I've done some similar things before.

Setting it to lvl 50 is more a test of skill rather than whoever can sit and train the longest.

Ive always wondered, how does doing it affect IV's and EV's? Does it scale them down?

Another question, is Phione allowed in the tournament? Since many people dismiss it as a legendary because of its low stats and I think it can breed.
