Synderfin's Moderator Application
General Information:
IGN: synderfin (formerly sharkfin1997/cynderfin)
AGE: 19
Time Available: I can be online at any time throughout the day. Time zone: Australian EST (UTC+10).
How long have you been on the Pokemon Server?: 5 years and 3 months. (July 28th, 2011) -2nd oldest active member.
What is your Mcmmo power level?: 2518 (stat mix-ups and lack of training is why it's so low).
How many/which badges do you have?: 7; Cerulean, Vermilion, Celadon, Fuchsia, Viridian, Cinnabar and Olivine.
Moderating Information:
Why would you be a good mod:
I am confident that I would be a good moderator for multiple reasons. I've been a member on this server for over five years and since then it has been a huge part of my life. I believe this is important because it takes someone who is dedicated and active on the server to moderate it. Additionally, I myself have no other server I'm nearly as active on and it takes priority over any others to me.
Furthermore, due to my time on the server I have grown accustomed to the way it works, in particular the rules. Due to this, I believe I could enforce them to the full extent of their purpose and make sure they were all followed.
In addition to this, I have also learnt a lot about the different plugins the server uses, as well as others that may be useful in the future. In hopes of becoming a moderator, on here, and with dreams of one day creating a server of my own, I spend a lot of my time researching a considerable amount of plugins, as seen by the list at the bottom of my application, and have used them on personal servers or ones I've staffed in the past.
Another important reason that I believe that I would be a good moderator is that I have good relations with my fellow members. Granted that being 'popular' is hardly an adequate point but being friendly with everybody and not having aggressive rivalries prevents me from enacting harsher punishments on some more than others. Despite this friendliness that I'd like to believe I have with the majority, if not all, of the server, I believe that the rules should be followed and the appropriate punishment should be applied to a potential infringement, by a user.
Additionally, I also have past experiences with moderating servers. I've formerly served as a moderator and administrator on Jeffro's and LilWaffle's servers, as well as others in the past. I currently assist new and old members on the Pokemon server with anything in my current power, involving guidance and support.
These are some of the primary reasons I believe I'd be a good moderator.
What would you do as mod:
As moderator I would put the reasons above into practice. I'd enforce the rules to the best of my ability and try my best to resolve conflicts and problems. I've even started organisations such as the Pewter Police to protect users now. Helping users is something I do now, especially new members, and I believe as moderator I could help even more. Even menial tasks I'd love to help with as it makes others happy and get to share in the enjoyment of the server.

I'm also very familiar with the programs MCedit and World Painter, which could both be useful in terraforming on the build server or for specific projects I may need or choose to do for the server.
I realise there is still is a lot to learn and I spend a lot of time researching different plugins to increase my knowledge and to hopefully be able to use them to help the server. I would be happy to spend even more time learning other plugins. :)

Yes, of course.
Do you have teamspeak? Would you be willing to get on it?
I do have TeamSpeak and get on it whenever I can. If I'm required to get on it more then I will find time to.
Poll Information:
I would really appreciated it if you guys could vote on my poll. I added it to see how the community felt about me becoming a moderator and so I could improve in different areas.
Based on this, I don't mind if you vote no as it tells me I need to work a little bit harder.
Some say I shouldn't have the results open to everyone as it's not a popularity vote. I agree with this, however, If I did this then I wouldn't be able to see the results at least until I voted myself. Since I'm not going to vote on my own app this couldn't be an option.

I greatly appreciate all the support and guidance I've recieved, over the years, from current and former staff members who've helped teach me how to moderate the server and broaden my knowledge in the area. This includes Paradox1223 teaching me the basics of Java coding and Tenebraemaximus with certain command block issues I've had, as well as just daily guidance with the running of the server, from 1ce, Tene, Prod and the rest of the team over the years. Without their help, I wouldn't be able to appropriately apply for this position.
I'd also like to thank all the people who have supported me, in the comments on this thread or on the server. It means a lot.
Attention:For anyone that doesn't read page 4. One of the votes for no was by ZobTheSlayer who did it to troll me but actually meant yes, as seen by their comment.

Updated plugins and took the '(not much)' thing off Tekkit.
I'd also like to ask that my recent lack of activity does not affect my chances of becoming mod. I have been on holiday the majority of the last four weeks as explained in the Away thread and after tomorrow I will have full access to the computer and won't be going away again for at least six months and for that long. I plan on being active even more than I normally am and I apologize for being away so much even though I could do nothing about it.

Rewrote my application. The 'Why would you be a good mod' and 'what would you do as mod' have been completely rewritten and the other areas have been updated.

Shark would make a great moderator as he is helpful, welcomes everyone, works hard, and is an overall nice person. If there is ever a mod needed for the server, or any sub server (Pixelmon), he should get the spot. Good luck Shark and hope you become a moderator!

Updated app quite a bit.
As the final hours/days draw to a close I've picked up the pace with plugin research. I'm also going through all my currently known plugins and revising as much as I can.

I've decided to update my app due to the recent lack of moderators.

Did a lot of formatting in the plugins section to make things easier and added a few colours here and there because apparently they're extremely important for getting people to notice the app. :/
This took an extra half hour because everything bugged out again and i had to fix all the random code everywhere.

Did a few general updates to the application to keep it up to date. During this week and next I have and will be researching some new plugins that may be potentially useful and also revising over all the ones in my list to make sure I actually remember all the commands.
Please ignore my inactivity over the last couple of weeks. I spent a couple studying then had two weeks of exams and all this week i've been moving house and won't have a proper internet connection until Thursday next week. At the moment i'm limited to just Googleing stuff and getting on the servers for short amounts of time with extensive lag.

Thanks Ax :). It went pretty well and it's only two more days before I can connect properly again.
I'd like to update it more regularly again but I sorta ran out of relevant plugins. I'll try to ask around and find out anything else that I need to research and I want to expand my understanding of the plugins already in my list, past just it's use on the server and more into new ideas that could be used.

Well good luck shark! For some reason, because I did too many updates, I can't even load my application because it's too big. At least I saved a copy of it.
But still, if I were you, try to help out building. You are a Unova builder I believe. Building more can show the people that matter that you can build and help get things done. But just an idea.

He is already a Hoenn builder. And I don't think not being a builder would effect your chances. Just be helpful and know the server i guess.

Thanks for the advice, however I am an all 5 regions builder. When I get my home internet back later today i'll be able to build a lot more earlier in the day (not just my afternoon), when you guys are all on.

Updated my application with more current information. Also, rewrote a lot of the main body and input additional information to some of the different sections.
