Minecraft gets bought by Microsoft

Well minecraft Is doomed to now become one of the worst games ever since Microsoft can manage to mess up every thing they touch.

Yes, they paid 2 billion dollars for a game just to make major detrimental changes and get rid of its popularity and player base. I think this might turn out well.

Actually, as far as everyone's been informed, the majority of the Mojang team will continue to work on Minecraft with the exception of its 3 founders. Jens/Jeb is still lead designer.

What I fear Microsoft may do Is become greedy and start making changes for the worst. Also for a great many games you will get sued If you make a mod. I also fear that will change so that you may longer legally distribute mods.

If Microsoft does that, they've just blown $2.5b

Jeb and co are still developing the game, community interaction is still paramount. All I see from this currently is a speedier release of the official API.

Let's just hope the past doesn't repeat itself, I don't think a company could ever go to shit as bad as Rare did though.
