Lol I have high hopes, but some theories include

Minecraft 2: free to play, pay for access to certain blocks (sponge, bedrock, commandblocks)

Circles (nuff said)

Shut down any modders in favor of a paid mod/plugin platform (basically everything people feared with ModAPI)

there's really no need for them to add on extra things to make money with since Minecraft probably brings in dump truck loads of money everyday as is..
