Post by: tymac on February 28, 2014, 03:40:31 pm
Offical Kanto To-Do List
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
All we must do it double-check everything in this region and Johto! Good job guys!
(Make sure all houses have signs indicating price; house at top of Celadon Condominiums???)
CHECK JOHTO TO-DO LIST FOR THINGS TO DO!Green=Completed
Maroon=One Aspect of the Build Left (Eg. Cave Roof, Water in River)[Further Work Impeding Completion] Area also needs Double Checking
Blue=Work In Progress (Building Has Started)
DarkGrey=In need of Houses/Buildings
LimeGreen=In need of trees/grass
Orange=Awaiting Construction (Area Cleared for Building or barely started)
Black=Not Yet Started
Red=After other regions are done to help us

I think its a good idea to lock both of Kanto and Johto to do list first for now, since we aren't starting it very soon, we wouldn't want "unneeded" post to be here...
just IMO...  :'(

random stoneblocks in route2 where a sign should be, why are they there
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on April 16, 2014, 05:39:37 pm
Quick question... On some of the interiors I have done, I have made the entrances two wide plus one block on each side. So if the side is 14 blocks long, at the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth blocks are entrances. I've been making the two side blocks half-blocks. Is this okay?
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on April 20, 2014, 05:16:08 pm
Cool and I finished the Condoms.  ;)
I also started to hook up some elevators that I think are cool. If there is another area that has elevators, ask me and I will make them.
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on April 20, 2014, 05:24:44 pm
And these are all the interiors left on the list:
SS Aqua
Silph Co.
Pal Park (Someone that has a gameboy game should finish it. To connect the features of Pal Park)
Power Plant
Celadon Game Corner
Trainer HouseMagnet Train
Pokemon Fan Club?
PokeMarts?

Other than that, a few more caves need to be finished. Then we should be close to complete.

All we need to do is finish these interiors: Silph Co., Magnet Train, and the Pal Park.
After that a few more caves. The Silph Co has been laid out but nothing has been built yet, the Magnet train is almost completed I believe, and the Pal Park just needs the part only accessible by a GBA game.

Post by: SnowBreak on April 27, 2014, 09:48:05 pm
For some reason the area near celadon/saffron is really laggy and makes my game freeze when i go near it. If anyone could figure out why, and fix it. I also started Silph Co.

Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on May 01, 2014, 04:55:16 pm
Silph Co is almost finished. Rotom's room needs to be finished. The only way to get a rotom in HG/SS is by cheating or trading it from Sinnoh. Anyone that can do either needs to do Rotom's Room.

Don't forget that someone needs to do a part of Pal Park too. If it really comes down to it, I can find some way to do it by getting a game off ebay, but I prefer for someone else doing it.

Whomever started the Magnet train needs to tell me if you finished it or not. Otherwise, I will start caves now. Anyone that can finish Pal Park, Silph Co, or the Magnet train please do so!

Thanks

Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on June 28, 2014, 05:34:48 pm
Yup. Everyone is doing their little mini-projects that need to be finished. We just need someone to check everything over in the end (i.e. trees)

tymac/ryan - Cerulean Cave
stuffjunk - Rock Tunnel
Cool - Safari Zone

I believe after those, we will need to complete a few more interiors missing a statue and such, as well as the Seafoam Islands.

Then we get to help with johto! :D
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: tymac on June 28, 2014, 10:46:32 pm
I also decided that I will get off my lazy virtual butt and start building tommorow. I am able to help with Pal Park because I got Pokemon Firered the other day. I will try to help more with Cerulean Cave.

Also, stuff, are you going to continue rock tunnel? If not, I will attempt to finish it.

Lastly, if someone could (Anon, Tene, Exal) make the actual Magnet Train, that would be great. I do not think that many of the Kanto builders can build something that big of scale. I will be willing to help whomever steps up.

Thanks,
Tymac™

pal park isn't in FireRed, it's in D/P/Pt/HG/SS
when you say magnet train, do you mean the literal train, or the train tracks

Its in Fuchsia which is in Kanto.

And both, I think.

Can I suggest that this time we have a functioning minecart track instead of jumping pads or simply a warp. It looks and feels much better and I can put in the tracks if you want.
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: SnowBreak on June 29, 2014, 11:20:20 am
Having an actual track would need to somehow have tons of hoppers/chests and minecarts, but then how will the minecarts be placed?

Yeah. There is a Pal Park in HG/SS that hooks up to any GBA game. And for the magnet train, we need to help with the tracks and the actual train. The building is already made, just what was listed above.
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: stuffjunk on June 29, 2014, 03:06:57 pm
the actual train part will work better in 1.8 because minecarts are waay faster lol

PS just got word from a minecraft bug tracker moderator that these new speed mechanics were removed because of to many problems, so minecarts aren't getting any faster :L

We only need one minecart per track but just a lot of tracks. That way some should always be at each city. We could have a warp as backup if someone trolls and rides all the carts to one city.

Seafoam Islands (Not started)
Cerulean Cave (Ryan and I)

I just had an idea for the minecarts, we could have a /kit magnettrain that goes for every 2 days.
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: ryancpexpert on July 13, 2014, 02:56:47 pm
Or, you can have a command block that summons the minecart on the tracks.
Title: Re: Offical Kanto To-Do List
Post by: 1cec0ld on July 13, 2014, 03:28:52 pm
/me puts a minecart on the tracks (via commandblock or via placing it, whatever)

/me pushes it without getting in

/me watches it travel until it hits an unloaded chunk, where it stops

/me laughs at the next person who runs into it

:trollface:

This was the problem last time we had "Real" minecart tracks. Carts don't go through unloaded chunks, so unless we have a designated "Track Cleaner" there will be dozens upon dozens of carts sitting in the middle of the tracks, slowing people down, blocking them, and just looking bad.

Whatever happened to the rune system we had for it, where you clicked the middle block and it threw you forwards?

Okay, the bottom cave of Cerulean Cave is almost finished. My bet it will be done in two more days unfortunatly. And ryan, if you can, please try working on the top floor. I will do some work to it when I can. After Cerulean Cave is complete (about a couple more days) I will start to finish rock tunnel. Stuff, can you please tell me where you were building it before switching to Johto. If you don't, I will have to start it all over again. :P

Pal park done, I labeled houses blocks (8x6 etc) and I finished vermilioncity.

So..
 There are three floors to Cerulean cave, I need 1 more, and it will be finished. As for Seafoam Islands, I will wait for other regions to finish to help us. For rock tunnel, I will need stuff to tell me where he started it. If we cant find it, I will just add with Seafoam. I've started terraforming. And when Cerulean cave is finished, Iwill start the e4 along with anyone else who would like to help.

Todo list:
1.) Cerulean Cave/Terraforming
2.) E4
3.) Rock Tunnel/ Seafoam Islands.

Johto has enough to do. And also, rock tunnel and seafoam islands I am waiting for he future to deal with, so the e4 is the last tbing to do.

I just hope stuff actually finished rock tunnel. Then I could rest peacefully tonight. :P

Jesus, keep it within reason. Check www.tiny.cc/pokebuild (http://www.tiny.cc/pokebuild) and see the giant boxes around kanto and johto? Those are the worldguard regions for those areas. Try to put johto stuff inside the johto region, kanto stuff in the kanto region, and jkanto stuff where you would expect to see the jkanto region. Right by the effing worldborder is overkill.

Random signs in Oaks lab interior, southwest corner, need removing by whoever put them there if not needed still.

In addition to moving the interior somewhere suitable, preferably a few blocks under its current location. //move 10 down, change the commandblock y value to whatever it is minus 10. easy job.
10 is probably too deep, try to figure out how low it needs to go instead of using 10 because i said 10.

Route27
Make ledges uniform (soulsand, cobble, whatever is being used for mountain edges)
Sign needs filling in west of the Tohjo exit, after a little surfing

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Route2 missing a sign as I leave viridian city
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Digletts cave might want to have a few torches or other sources of light since it isn't a Flash cave.
Can diglets cave interior be placed closer to the actual cave entrances/exits? I feel like the chunk loading lag is taking away from the experience, as well as possibly messing up the tripwires returning to normal state. I had to walk over the wires 2-4 times before they would actually trigger.
Edit: wtf is it doing next to FourIsland  :O_o:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Someone pulled a stupid when they placed the trees outside Digletts cave near vermilion. It is impossible to travel east toward the coastline (In addition to odd numbers in the trees, someone should get shot for that)
Wtf guys, someone should clear and re-do a large section of JohtoRoute11 outside Digletts cave, this is just wrong. Look for the glass.
Also, whats that green wool thing? Wool aint exactly natural. If it's a berry tree, thats something to figure out globally as well.
Tall grass shouldn't go under tree overhangs, who the F did route11?
Buttons in Pewter Museum are missing a cool opportunity for an easter egg, just sayin (not sayin you have to put one, but i would if i built it ;) )
Same note about being closer to the loaded chunks, for Pewter Museum. Teleport is smoother if the chunk is already loaded near the player.
Is there a sign missing south of MtMoon's west entrance near the grassy patch? Or is that just a stone slab.
Are those seriously the rocks we're using for the MtMoon interior?
Seems like there is an unfinished iron fence at the south side of route4, where it enters into cerulean city
If y'all are still with the invisiblock-tree-base idea, Route25 needs to conform to it.
Anon (idk but jotr and donut) are doing Seafoam.
Camm and I are doing the e4
Prod, Anon and I are doing terraforming.
And Tene is doing the region stuff. And at the end after everything is done, magnet train.
So camm, or anyone with an action replay, I need you to help me to do the champion arena some time today or tomorrow.
Also on awesome news Exal is back! He said he would start terraforming for Kanto tomorrow.
So:
tymac and camm, indigo plateau
Anon, Seafoam Islands
I moved it down 20 blocks. If that isn't enough, tell me and I will move it more down. But I would prefer if you got op. So Prod/Tene, can you give exal op for terraforming? Thanks
Also, we finished the Indigo Plateau. All that is left is the Hall of Fame that will be done tomorrow. Also some command block teleporting that I can set up.
After that, all we need are trees, the Seafoam Islands, and to check all the command blocks
Rocks: tymac
Trees: Anyone that has WE
Indigo Plateau: Prod, Cam, tymac
Seafoam: Anon
Moving Interiors: Anon, Prod, tymac
Trees terraforming and seafoam left.
Trees are being done by Jeff
Terraforming is exal
Seafoam will be anon, stuff , and myself
Tellraw will be added instead of msgs by ryan.
Tommorow, people doing the Seafoam Islands will continue and finish that. While everyone else will do Prod's favourite: trees.
After that, the wifi room, and terraforming. We might need to move a few interiors and change some command blocks for the trees though.
And a side note, some mock interiors need to be done that I can do.
The top right can be moved completely, unless you want the spirt house (pokemon cemetary) as an easter egg.
The other two, is the Silph Co, and a surprise. Ill move them in a bit. Prob around 7:00-8:00GMT
Or if someone wants to move it sooner, go right ahead. Just change the command blocks too.
Also, btw, there are some regions set up that had their buildings moved because of terraforming problems. You admins might want to get rid of them. Specifically near lavender.
Im not sure if this is possible, but this guy made the first 151 pokemon as pixelart. The guy has a download meaning hes probably okay with people using them. There is a map download to the world that he made them in. I just think it would be cool to use some of these for sections of the indigo plateau, spawning areas.  See the video: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=NiK0_sG9ef4 (http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=NiK0_sG9ef4)
Also check out the next batch for Johto http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=Yo31as8d3ks (http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=Yo31as8d3ks)
Also on a sidenote relating to pokemon in minecraft, 1ce, can you send me instructions on how you and prod made those 3d model pokemon?
Also, all thats really left is terraforming, trees on routes, and some pixelart near the indigo plateau.
Whats the point if you don't build it yourself. We could've just downloaded a pokemon map and used that instead of building our own.
This is all that is really left:
Add more pixelart near the indigo plateau (jotr, prod, tymac)
The trees need to be done for fuchsia city to lavender town (sweaty, jeffro)
Terraforming stuff (exal) (possibly tymac, anon, and prod with mountains)
Okay, all that is left is terraforming. So we need all the terraforming shenanigans done by tommorow. If you need any help, dont hesitate to ask exal.
EDIT: Damn it, there is always more, it seems from fuchsia city to the lavender town needs a little bit more rocks. Since it has water surrounding one-two side(s) of the routes, there must be rocks so the player is concealed in the map. So there are rocks that need to be put there. I started the outline for the rocks, and will try to finish them. But if someone wants to continue them go ahead.
I also looked around and it seemed the signs around the regions are not very standard. So I made a standard that will be in place for Kanto. Since almost every sign design is different.
As far as I understand, Kanto, and Johto's terraforming is due some time from the 21st to the 24th. You got time. What should be fun is to get Johto finished
I upgraded all Johto's and JKanto's poke marts with a more modern look similar to the color style of the pokemon center
Why upgrading instead of doing unbuilt bits.
Also there are all rocks in Kanto that need to be redone with /rockize.
Is /rockize the command?
A bit of fixing needed at Rotoms Room area, the elevator is non-working and the machine messages also do not work. Lots of rocks under lavender need to be placed aswell.
We need to use /rockize to replace every rock. So in the Kanto to do list includes, checking warps, fixing all signs, and replace all rocks.
