Title: Dogs and Pots
Post by: raymondt99 on July 09, 2013, 09:44:22 pm: 1.I think we Should have a limit on dogs cause When Okie Goes to spawn with his dogs alot of People Start lagging Why do you even need so many.

2.I think Potion of Harming Should be ban again (cause alot of People are turning into xander)

agreed well maybe not in the e4 most of the times since you cant use harming but out side of the e4 my fucking Arceus

I agree, I know other people say "What do we want in an elite four fight? A 5 second match or a good fight based on PvP.". If its so easy to dodge, lets use them in E4 fights. I don't see the problem about it if we can dodge.

You can't dodge in a room of that size.

Post by: Paradox on July 13, 2013, 07:30:39 pm: I'll state a quick overview of my thoughts of pots, but I'm no PVP master so take my words with a grain of salt if you'd like.

There are two different types of PVP on our server, in my opinion. Raw PVP and skilled PVP.

Raw PVP is like the wild. You do whatever you can do to live, gather materials and train yourself. You're not looking to do anything fancy, to make good plays. You're simply looking to survive. It's raw pvp. Do what you can do to kill the other person. no matter what.

Skilled PVP is like gyms/elite. We don't want just anyone to be able to be in the elite, it should take talent. I want to see some cool ass fights in the gyms/elites and see true talent being displayed. Maybe not the most practical PVP but something that requires skill, strategy and maneuver to outsmart your opponent because they are a skilled PVPer.

How does this relate to pots? Pots are very raw PVP. It does not take a genius to throws/make pots. It does not take a genius to dodge them. It promotes a very boring and raw PVP style that I personally do not want in the elite. Training your sword stats and using enderpearls and dogs and more all takes some strategy and dedication to defeat. There is no fun counterplay or intuition to pots. That's why I don't like them in the elite, personally.
