No reset is the way to go. If you don't like how much stronger people are than you, all you have to do is train. I joined and within three weeks have already been known as a major pvper and have aquired all 8 Kanto gym badges. If newbies want to get good on this server, they will. If you think resetting the stats will make it even for everyone, think again. It will still be all of the old players who will win in pvp. They will still have full diamond armour and weapons with all of the best enchantments. Resetting everyone's stats will just make it so no one will even have a chance at beating them. So how would that be fair? And I can almost guarantee that the same people will be on mctop if there is a reset. The people who work hard for their stats will be the ones that have the high stats. With a reset, nothing will change. Lazy noobs would still complain about how strong everyone is compared to them and they still wouldn't do anything about it. Those kind of people would just want a reset so that, for a couple of days, they will be on the same stats level as everyone. In the end, reset or no reset, things will stay the same. It is just that if there is a reset, it wastes many hours for everything to get how it was, and it jeopordizes the loyalty of the players to stay on the server.

Ichi, you are basically agreeing with me. It is not impossible to get high mcstats, you just have to work hard. And yes, the lazy people will still stay at the bottom of the list. Resetting the stats would just make it more of a hastle for those hard workers to get to the stats they were at previously.

You know, I don't understand why not. Once you get high mcstats, it won't be fun. You'll be the guy in Mortar killing 1000 mobs for one level. And no one wants that. :P but oh well. I don't mind anymore. What ever happens happens

Ok I have to address this first.
If you suck at pvp and have coasted on your stats, then you don't DESERVE to be Elite. Not to mention the items and enchantments that I'm sure they all have.
Gym leaders will for a short while be easier to beat, but again, at those low levels, there never was much of a gain from mcmmo. You don't see unarmed help you until 250.
In addition, Johto will be affected by this as well, so those will be easier to beat.

The reset would also solve some of this.
Why do you need your stats from 10 days? So you can continue catching up to people decades ahead of you?
What if you don't have a screenshot? What makes you better than the unfortunate people who were here 9 days and have no screenshot? But if EVERYONE gets reset, no one needs any screenshots.

I don't see how being here 9 versus 10 days makes any difference. I took the screen shot today. Another way to have gone about doing this would be to warn people that there is a reset so that everyone could take screen shots and there would be no "unfortunate people". And yes, the stats from 10 days are to help catch up to those who are "decades ahead".

All we would do is delete the mcmmo.users file. No permissions, no essentials, no bank, no world, no other changes. Done.
We may have to lower the requirement for gym leaders if too many quit, but that's a reaction, not a plan.

Agree completely with Liquid. I mean it's not fun when you level like after 1,000,000 blocks for excavation and what not.

I for one support a reset. I want to have a "Great Arms Race" with the other heavy hitters of the server to compete for that number one slot in /mctop.
I think it would increase server activity for a while as we all scramble to get our numbers up. The newer peeps of the server would feel more encouraged as well to stay and compete. Now there are a number of you above me in mctop, but only less than 20. I have/had a power-level nearing 4000 when the reset occurred. I am willing to sacrifice all that hard work and start from scratch to have some fun.
And anyone who isn't is clearly scared of having their ass handed to them.

Ive seen your pvping, you just stay in safezone and steal kills when the time is right.
No stat reset please, just work hard, and youll get there, I didnt spent all this time training for a reset :/

Okay so fuck you people. The reasons we should roll back is because the people who've been here for a year are stronger then you? Ever play any online game ever? Theres a fucking point they invested so much time and effort to BE BETTER THEN YOU. To wipe it is a insult and spit in the face of our players. I am against it every way possible. Or because admins have enchanted armor so somehow we cheated our stats?News Flash I had every combat related stats 750+ and acrobatics 1k before enchants ever came out. Shit we didnt even have a full elite 4 when I had those stats back in the Start. A Fresh start? Yea for those willing to put up with this again. If I was still a player I wouldnt have stayed after the first few. To put our longest players threw the grinder so the noobs feel better about themselves? No, Fucking moronic.

Honestly if that's the case I say a entire fresh start, Chest wipes, Houses taken. The ENTIRE shabang. Why stop there you want to even the fields? Champ and elite loose spots, Gyms wiped and redone. No more leaders make them all restart and lvl to make the qualifications. Lets just shut it all down jus for the sakes of it.

That fact that all these new users are complaining about the older ones for having higher stats than them is stupid. If they actually bothered training a bit like everyone else they would be that strong.
And for all the people complaining about Gym Leaders being too strong well.........Gym Leaders are meant to be hard to beat! That's the whole point of them! It's meant to be a challenge!
And just putting it out there. I'm not against this just because I may have really high stats and don't want to loose them. My stats are terrible but I'm really against this and think it's wrong! :mad:

I've finally, calmed down after the decision of resetting the stats, since i've wasted so much time and money on this server, I feel as though I am owed something. But that is ok because the fact shall remain that the major pvpers shall once again rise to the top. And sooner or later we shall be hearing the same complaints of our stats being to high for normal players to compete with.

Gym Leaders are supposed to be a challenge. I'm on Mctop and I'm still going with this. Why? Because I don't like how people just rely on stats to win. In elite battles, you need that HIGH axe skill to break armor otherwise you have a very low chance of winning, and people are not gonna waste weeks of their lives just to gain numbers on a screen that serve little purpose in life. Guy who complain, do something more productive, you all have potential to make a change in the world (seems cliche) spend your computer skills on that. Go learn Java, learn how to Solder, that's what I've been doing for the past month instead of training stats 24-7.

And the point why we got stats is because we could by better then others . (in pvp)

Think here. The only way to remove an individual skill from a user is to /mmoedit every single user for that 1 skill, requiring that they be online, or delve into the file and look at every 135:0:43:29:37:18:45:whoknowswhat:43:22:1456 and set the exactly correct values to 0 for every user in there.
All or nothing folks. The only admin I haven't heard from is paradox, back to discussion until then.

Exactlly if they rage then go train stats. And like bg said rigbys holsts and creeper huggers axes were godlike. Still nobody raged that much and we ALL enjoy server just how it is.

With the server's popularity picking up, and the fact that all the tweeny-boppers (No offense) are going to be out of school soon (College and High and Middle), the server is going to erupt in the Summer. Mark my words. Complaints will arise anyway, it's a matter of time before the new population takes over us "old guys". And I don't mean old guys as in me, I've only been here since late January, I mean the old vets.

Whether I'm pro or against this is hard to say, but I'll make an example of this:
On minestatus, every month the votes are reset to 0. Is it far for the number 1 spot to lose all those votes they got? No. But it's not fair for them to have such a larger advantage over the others. I mean, they get front page for an entire month. If minestatus resets, it gives everyone the same chance again, even the new servers. If stats are WAY easier to get, then just train and it'll be easier. Persoanlly I'd see it as fun to retrain again, start from the top and go again. I know most of the people who are complaining right now have complained about "The server has nothing to do anymore, I'm bored!" Well, here's the problem, you're too good. Time to knock you down again and make it fun again. Like in pokemon, when you beat the elite 4, do you go around beating the elite 4 over and over and over again? Maybe a few times but eventually it's not fun. It's funner to restart it and start a whole new adventure. Just my opinion.

I would be for this on one condition. Bring back mcmmo levels for dontating! BUT make a cap of say 200 or so. That way the vets can dontate and not feel as ripped off BUT the noobs wont be as far behind.

the reason we want to reset stats are because the server is being runned by mostly ppl that have high stats if we reset everyone will be the same and will actual have a chance at being a [J] trainer, gymleader,elite, or even champ VOTE YES! PROD COMPROMISE

MCmmo causes problems. The past 5 topics in the problems were all about people supposedly "hacking" to get stats. With this stat wipe, it just tells them its a waste of a time to risk yourself getting in trouble, or provokes them to do it even more, but with a BIG jump in stats, we'll know whose hacking. ALSO you get more time to do things instead of wasting your life training. I would delete Mcmmo if I were you 1ce and just use spells. Its a Win-Win-Win-Lose If that conflict resolution is possible trololkololo

So after rigby "restored" the stats, some people got their orignal stats back and some people still have 0 or really low stats. Something is wrong.

Then Rigby got on the next day and reverted it back without anyone's consent. I even asked him not to and he said he wouldn't. But still did so after I logged to sleep. Granted I am just a player, but making such an obviously selfish decision is detrimental to the server.
The stats were reverted to April 9th + what few restorations were made before then, I think. No admin has been actively restoring stats since Rigby's restoration. He doesn't care about YOUR stats after all, just his precious 1200 axes. He's being selfish which is what caused this confusion for you. I'm not saying Rigby is the only one or even the only admin against the reset, he isn't, but he is the one who thinks he can do things without consulting others first, even if it leads to confusion and creating conflict.
If I was in 1ce's shoes, I would be talking with the others about demoting Rigby's ass. Even if you don't agree, you don't just do things out of the blue. And you don't openly use your power to go against a made decision without proper communication. You should always at least give the appearance of being united while working out your differences maturely.
Anyways, I cast my vote as a player for [Dumbass] Rigby 2012.
But please be patient. They have to work what to do about mcmmo all over again because of the situation and then they need time to implement that solution. I know it's frustrating, but I know 1ce, mio, and the rest can fix this. I BELIEVE IN YOU GUISE.

But I would agree with this. Many people have lost their stats due to this reset. Some lost hundreds of stats as well because of this. And like Night said.

Honestly Night, you just made a complete ass of yourself. Every major fact you stated was wrong. 1ce had NO permission to go and reset the stats. No admin backed him up. Not one. Was he misguided because he though us other admins didn't care? Yes. But no one gave him consent. Then Rigby set it back with 3 admin approval, more than less likely 4 because Zombie wanted to keep stats. Rigby did the correct thing. I expected more of you before you made such accusations. I honestly have my jaw dropped right now at you night. Rigby doesn't give a shit about his axes. If he cared about them then he wouldn't be the one advocating using a new plugin. He's fought to drop mcmmo and use something else which would make him lose axes. He also has said to NERF axes because they're OP.

You're allowed to have your opinion but your facts are wrong. You insulted an admin who has done so much. He deserves respect, not this. I respected you night but if this is how you will act to admins how can I even think of you in ANY way.

I consulted people, before making accusations get your facts straight
-Who did you consult with -prior- to doing that? I'm willing to bet it isn't all the admin + the thread/players like 1ce. He spent days waiting to talk to people first. If you talk to a handful of people, sure you can say you consulted. It was only a few hours before you rolled back. Even if you did listen to people, the only ones who would voice out against this would be the people who disagreed with it. Those who are satisfied wouldn't feel the need to express themselves. Squeaky wheel gets grease.
Lies, I made a backup before 1ce reset stats, because I knew he would do such things, also I'm not doing it for my own good, I feel too many people would have lost work along with I, just because I have high stats makes you presume this, which is understandable.

1ce made the decision solely, I talked to people, see who's actually doing stuff?

Paradox, I knew you would defend the restoration if there was enough pressure. Undecided my ass, lol. Honestly, your post is the first one I see claiming anything of a second admin vote. If Rigby felt like he was doing the right thing, he would've pursued fixing stats for those who were borked after the reset. Only until this does he make any offer to fix anything. Which leads me to believe he was focused on himself.
As for him getting rid of mcmmo, this is true. But he has no real solution for its absence. If you took away the ability to grind on the server, it'd just feel like something was missing. I think I heard him mention Heroes once, very briefly in a single sentence, but to install and configure that would require a large amount of effort and seeing how it took over half a day for Rigby to consider helping people restore stuff, I am doubtful of it happening.
And what's this jazz about 3 admin overturning a decision? 1ce spent days listening to people but if three of you get together, you can render all of that moot? That's silly.
Paradox. You seem to like talking down to me as if I were a child in your post. I could easily do the same to you, but I won't. Yes, I blatantly call Rigby a corrupt admin, but that's out of a lack of sugarcoating. Even where I do brow-beat him, my statements contain more than just a disapproval of Rigby, they make a point about his actions specifically. You on the other hand just use lines like "I respected you, my jaw dropped at you, etc etc." It's just garbage. That's how a child tries to appear important or better than others. So leave it at the door, bro.
In the end, all I am saying that he made a selfish decision and all the junk I listed helps back up that statement. We can squabble over this forever, but it doesn't change anything. I am not saying he is an entirely bad admin either.

It's not that he hates you or purposely screwed others over. It's that he did what he thought was right and stopped "doing right" once his goal was met. It's like trying to repair an oil spill by washing off the seals, but not the rocks. Hmm, that example sucks, but you get the idea.

Had I waited longer than I did ( long enough to get every Admin's opinion ) People would have recovered what little they lost when mcmmo hiccuped, and been even angrier at the reset. In addition, the people waiting for a result of discussion had nothing to do for that time. I had to act as soon as possible, and that's why I got all the opinions as soon as possible. Whether y'all felt like you had a month to clarify/solidify your opinion or not, procrastination would have hurt us more.

I'll be happy when this fighting is over, and our server reverts back to its normal state. Everyone boycotting the server comes back. The forums aren't a war zone for admins, moderators, veterans and other players to argue endlessly. We finally get things straight plugin wise.
