Title: Wild Rangers
Post by: Raveh on August 03, 2012, 07:32:31 am
Wild Rangers
As You may have noticed, wild is pretty damn griefed.
Yes, I know it's grief allowed, But I think it's not fair that
new players have to go kilometers only to find a tree.
So my suggestion is, that there will be a group of trustable
mods that will have creative mode in the wild, and that every once in a
while will plant trees and destroy 1x1 towers, fill up explosion holes and etc.
Also I think Wild's spawn diserver a nicer look than a bedrock mountain.
Thank you, and good evening America.

I used to do that until tnt was allowed in the wilds.

Back on topic:
I don't think giving mods creative is a good idea. No matter how trustworthy they are, they may abuse it at some point and IMO creative isn't needed for this. So instead, I think I will continue my "anti-grieving job" as I also dislike the griefed and uneven wilds and many people wouldn't volunteer to do so.
As for the bedrock mountain (in wild 1 I believe), the best that can be done is probably making the land flat, which would have to be done by the admins. I don't see it as much of a concern though.

That bedrock mountain is only at one wild area...

OMG so much wisdom (http://www.pokemonserver.net/forum/index.php?topic=1822.0) in that sentence.

I remember once in old wild 2, I planted trees so people didn't have to walk kilometers to find one. Days later, wild 2 was filled with treetops because some people were too lazy to cut down the whole tree.

Well I think I'll join you tactic....

Except we have to destroy other areas to make other areas look nice. I mean isn't that the reason why the wilderness' get reset anyways?

Well once you reach a certain point in the server there is no need for it. Just help newbies get starter kits and they won't have to constantly go to the wild.
