The Moderator Application of tenebraemaximus

Time Available: Weekday nights, sometimes early in the mornings. I'm on a lot so most players have seen me around PS: GMT+10
How long I've been on the server: Almost 13 months
mcMMO Power Level: 14077. Occasionally goes up when I venture into Kanto/Johto
Badges: All 8 Kanto badges and 4 Johto badges (Zephyr, Glacier, Storm and Plain). Also an ex-Elite and ex-GymLedaer :) [I think I understand how the server works ;) ]
Why I would be suitable: I'm mature and I've had experience moderating and administrating a popular server. I'm capable of keeping things in order (this includes things like area perms and potentially hostile arguments), not going overboard with stupidity (yes, everyone does do it from time to time, but there is a limit believe it or not xD), keeping players entertained (simple things for simple minds :) ), and I enjoy helping new players get settled in. I also have a tolerance to bad language, although you'll find I rarely use it, if at all. I am somewhat tolerant of idiocy among people, and more forgiving than most I've been told... I don't abuse my 'powers' and help report anything that could be 'abusive'. I'm also head admin on Jeffros server working with his permissions, plugin management and other 'behind the scenes' work.
What I would do: I would moderate. As mentioned earlier, keeping things in order, making sure nothing gets out of control and giving others the help they need, when they ask. Resolving issues is something that needs to be done before it goes bad. I've been being good lately and helping people more :) Change for the better :) Also, answering questions when they come.

I'm always open to learning a new plugin when have to :) When I was admin on a server, I had to teach myself, and brush up my knowledge on quite a few plugins; scriptblock being the plugin that I learnt, and brushing up skills on world edit and world guard. I've also got my server where I can teach myself a plugin so that I wont cause any damage on a server. A prime example is worldedit and voxelsniper. I'm hoping one day to teach myself more :) I've also had to teach some people on the server some commands to do with world guard, and other plugins too, so ^_^
Can you moderate the server, and demonstrate your ability by moderating your own application thread?
Yes I Can. MY mod app is yet to go out of control, like some players mod apps have. I also moderate the Unova board, keeping unnecessary posts to a minimum where possible.
I'd also like to use this as a chance to be able to help people and be recognised as someone that can actually give meaningful advice rather than having little or no impact. I help people alot, I get thanked for it (not every time); its nice see people happy, and know they were helped. Some regular players now I have helped right from the start too, and they've gone on to great achievements on the server.
I've noticed that there are sometimes long periods where the server is absent of anyone with moderator or administrator permissions, which makes it impossible for players to purchase houses, or if they need certain help like that, which ordinary players are incapable of.
Now, I know I may not have the best record with people on the server. TAlegends being the prime example. We've made up recently. I've been making the effort not to be all mean and stuff to people like I have been in the past. Mariofighter3 is another example. Even though we may not agree on everything (And that will happen with people from time to time) I try be helpful, mending the relationships with other players to bring a better community experience. It helps bring chat offence to a minimum, and allows other players the chance to communicate to each other without being spammed with avoidable text. I'm sure theres others that I don't (or didn't) get along with too well, and I'm sure in time friendships can be repaired. It is hard to help someone when they wont even talk to you.
I've contributed a lot to this server, ideas (CUT trees, among others), ModDamageBadges (Badges++ rewrite), and just general helping people often. I'm hoping I can give more if I have the change to help moderate the server. Also, being one of the most active players currently, I think I can continue helping the server for quite some time.
Also, this server has taught me a lot about what can make a server fun, and also the best ways to deal with some people. It is inspiring, and I hope to have a chance to help keep it this way.
