Since Jord was banished to Hoenn, nothing has been done of the Battle Frontier. So, I had an idea about what to do with it (Yes, its LoL related :T)
I'll make a few arenas with a few people (any volunteers? I liked the E4 things that Jeffro and Cab made in Sinnoh.), for each big battle tent thingie. I'm suggesting 4 possible ranked fights, ranked duo 2v2, ranked trio 3v3, ranked 1v1, and an unranked 1v1. The big building could host the scores, instead of having an arena. There can be separate scores for each of the ranked battle tents. I was thinking of having teams for the 2v2's and 3v3's. We could have a topic on the forums to post the teams on, and you can only be in one team. You cannot leave that team unless one of your teammates leaves the server, or a month passes, when top ten on the board will be moved over to the side of the building (the big one that shows the scores). Accept it maybe? :T

So basically you're suggesting we make the arenas for PvP and team PvP like we have already discussed?

We have..?
Last time I asked 1ce, he said he didn't know what to do with it, and the Battle Frontier hasn't been used after it's completion. Link me to the page where it discusses the Battle Frontier use?

Fun idea, sounds good Jotr.
And just like Elite fights and stuff, keep the official rankings and posts in a stickied thread with the Elite/Champ threads. Could be fun way to get people to get killin'.

Maybe turn it into a mob arena.

I think it was somewhere in the hoenn board, whatever.
I support this idea, I also think we should have more things to do per arena though, one arena could be 1v1 pvp, another could be 2v2 pvp, but also other arenas could be Mob Arenas, maybe even a Hunger Games style minigame!

Mob arena with fully geared up mobs. Skeletons and zombies wearing protectionIV diamond armour, with Enchanted Sword swords. Battle frontier is meant to be a challenge right?

lets combine both master's and tene's idea's.
I also think that it would be fun to add beacons to fight with

I'd like to suggest a mix of some of the idea listed above and my own.
I like Jotr's idea of various buildings having different types of challenges. But instead of standard pvp fights, I would like to see "game-changing" aspects introduced, each one being unique to a specific arena. After all, the Battle Frontier in the actual games introduced features which completely changed how you need to fight.
Charizard ruler suggested beacons, which plays into this idea well. One arena could have beacons as a feature. Would be interesting if they could be turned on and off to keep the battle from getting too static. Could be done on timers, on player location or action (levers and such), or whatever other ways people can think of. Ways of how to implement these beacons are just ideas I'm throwing around for people to think about/change as they see fit.
Another idea I had involves distribution of battle gear through dispensers. Each player would have a certain amount of dispensers they could activate (each one could only be activated once, of course). One each for head armor, body armor, leg armor, foot armor, and a weapon. Additionally, I think a dispenser for a random potion would be interesting.
The premise behind the dispensers is that the players will have to adapt to what they are given each round. Every battle will be different, and you can never be sure that you can rely on the same strategy twice.
Another idea to throw on top of this is having custom enchants for some items, which could potentially change how you use them. Let's say you are given a diamond chestplate which is enchanted with sharpness and fire aspect. You could either choose to wear it to soak up a lot of damage, or use it as a powerful impromtu weapon at the cost of protection. Your other equipment will also weigh in to how you choose to use it.
Those are all the ideas I have for now. If anyone else thinks it could turn out to be a good idea, feel free to improve on my ideas or add on to them. Maybe something with pigs...

Well, this is a good idea, but you ever played the game? In the game you just battle people, so....

The battle frontier in the game does not consist entirely of regular battles. Yes, the battle tower and battle hall are both fairly straightforward, but the others are not.
In the battle factory, you rent out pokemon. You have to improvise with what you are given, like in the idea I had in my previous post. The battle castle works with a point system. The battle arcade adds random effects which affect one or both parties (which has parallels to the beacon idea).
Not to mention that the battle frontiers in other games also draw from the idea of adding features which alter gameplay. This is why I'm suggesting more creative ways to battle in the battle frontier. Sure, there could be one or two which revolved around more standard pvp, but I think having most of them follow new "rules" would be better. We would have more variety for the server in terms of pvp. If they were all regular battles it would be like adding another gym challenge instead of making it something new and unique, as it is in the games.

ok, gyms that rent out items and the weakness pot you before the battle, i came up with that and had a brain tumor two weeks ago, don't try and complicate everything.
