Title: Fresh Start

Whats better then starting over fresh and meeting new people? Nothing! So I had an idea no one will like but would be rather fun for the admins. The idea is, ipban every single player and make sure their is zero chance of anyone logging in (except admins), backup the server files, then massive advertise the server and get a fresh bunch of players to join and play on the server. Sounds a little far-fetched but in an admins point of view (i think) it would actually be a lot of fun.

Are you saying that after a little while, they would let us all back online using the backup? If so, wouldn't we have to kick all of the new players out?

I'm pretty sure it's 50, but I didn't know if we could combine the backup files with the ones held by new players. This is probably simple, I just didn't understand.

So, basically they'd be banning players from a server they're been commited to for over a year... And did you never think about players using proxies and alts...

I think this is a horrible idea honestly, I see no valid positives. Taking away all your players will not increase server traffic, it will only hurt the server and it's community.

No one would 'mass advertise' if players are incapable of joining...

How would the new players fight the gym leaders then, if there are non?

Fighting gyms was my favorite thing when I joined the server

Suddenly, the new players are suddenly overtaken to see a sudden rush of "new" people that have 1k stats. . .
Also, the server isn't just pvp. There's regions that are being built, and removing every builder from each region for a month could be a problem.

not only for gym sakes but people like head builders and builders need to be able to join

I think a simple solution to this is we need to have people vote more often... i mean just seeing POKEMON SERVER!!! will catch most peoples attention cause i mean who hasn't played pokemon or atleast knows what it is. I think that we should just try to get as many people as we can to vote for the sever and possibly some other advertisement type thingy

Yes, because there was never an admin. Who's idea was to advertise the server, that the other admins never really helped with.
I wonder. If there was one.
Oh wait. Rigby over here yelled every admin meeting that we needed advertisement. But nope, no one listens to Rigby.

And I quit because I'm not going to waste my time admining a server that's not worth my time. And it was growing boring and I had no interest in it.

Yes, I've become aware that I do make most of the changes to the server. Everyone goes to me for permission, goes to me for advice, goes to me for any small thing they don't even need me for. Apparently I'm important, even though almost every other admin is educated enough for 90% of the issues.
Am I still trying to control myself? Yes. Did I ask permission to demote hixhen? Yes. Did I ask permission to tempban cabass? Yes.
I am better than you or any complainer imply. Just because I'm the only one you see wielding the axe, doesn't mean I'm the only head on the shoulders.
I am not alone in the server decision making flow. I refuse to be, because I know that power can corrupt. THATS what I'm afraid of. Losing myself to the frenzy of power. Not failing. I do that so often it doesn't even matter anymore.

I have faith in this server's administration, but I'm not saying your the  Arceus  that runs the server. I respect what you do, even if I don't like it. Yes, Paradox is a quitter. Is he trying to put me down and label me falsely? Not that I know of.
Yes, I've become aware that I do make most of the changes to the server. Everyone goes to me for permission, goes to me for advice, goes to me for any small thing they don't even need me for. Apparently I'm important, even though almost every other admin is educated enough for 90% of the issues.
Am I still trying to control myself? Yes. Did I ask permission to demote hixhen? Yes. Did I ask permission to tempban cabass? Yes.
I am better than you or any complainer imply. Just because I'm the only one you see wielding the axe, doesn't mean I'm the only head on the shoulders.
I am not alone in the server decision making flow. I refuse to be, because I know that power can corrupt. THATS what I'm afraid of. Losing myself to the frenzy of power. Not failing. I do that so often it doesn't even matter anymore.

i'm just gonna interrupt this drama bomb to just say that this made me laugh a lot because frenzy
