Title: A way to catch "pokemon" that will improve the server!
Post by: air1800 on April 25, 2013, 02:33:39 pm
I found a plugin that you can catch mobs in eggs. This way, people can have their "pokemon" and it will not interfere with any PvP or our livelihood as a server. It is purely an addition to the server. Here is the link: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mobcatcher/ (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mobcatcher/)

This has been suggested before. For one, we don't want players having the ability to abuse the use of spawn eggs. Aside from that, once you have 'caught' the mob, if you 'release' it, there isn't anything stopping, say, a creeper from blowing up the instant you let it go, or a zombie turning on you, despite you having 'summoned' it.

We could use something like that though, with maybe a battle system or something. Would be different then just using pvp methods. Also, we could start with a wolf maybe and have a mcmmo stat for training your wolf. Plus a respawn for him that would lose you money? Would be cool. Also, some pokemon maps are like that, and where when you choose your pokemon you get a special enchanted stick, so its not just pvp, but the stick gets better when your pokemon evolve.

This server was designed for pvp only. Any other methods will be done on different servers. (Such as the Pixelmon Server).
mcmmo stat for training your wolf... /Taming ?
Enchanted Stick? Sounds like someone was on LSD

Yes, it is still being worked on.
And I was implying the plugin creator was, not you.
