Title: PO Box
Post by: Noivern on May 06, 2013, 10:07:41 pm
Many people would donate if they could but do not have credit cards. It could cost as little as 10 usd for 6 months. This is a hefty benefit for the server as many people who play on the server are under the age of 16 and do not have credit cards.

I agree with Crimson, Even those younger players wishing to donate can be cause of their inabillity to access a credit card. And frankly, the server can use more donors. Crim came with an excellent decision.

If you don't have a card but want to donate go to your local convent store and by a prepaid visa gift card PayPal accepts those I believe

Yeah. Walmart has these cards or even some banks have them too. You just have to ask

Lots of pre-paid cards you use you have to set up with the bank, that means making an account and calling them. I have had to do that a few times and it is a lot of work and I bet many parents don't want there children calling and setting up accounts with the bank.

I've never had to go through the bank to use a pre paid card

What bank do you use for that? Because it always denies my cards, making me have to call the bank and set it up when i try to buy stuff online

I've seen a lot of kids now a day using their child bank accounts.  Why not just make a Paypal account, and assign your bank account.  You can then directly deposit money from your bank account into your paypal and vise versa (given a couple of buisness days).  That's the way I go about it.

It's just that the families that aren't so technology wise would feel a bit unsafe sending money through the internet to an unknown server that their child plays on.

It's more risky to send money through the post. At least here in the UK it's not advised because of thieves.
