http://imgur.com/a/5obYL (http://imgur.com/a/5obYL) This was on the first page of www.reddit.com/r/gaming (http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming) just thought I'd point it out.
-
It does say pixelmon, and theres a ton of other pixelmon servers around.
-
Mmm. It's just interesting how many people on Reddit are impressed with the map, maybe we should advertise?
-
Well I will say it. That scaling SUX!

When we have a map worthy of playing on.

The first one is more closer to ours, but from the images I saw, it seems off-scale by so much, unlike our builds. As for the 2nd link, that didn't lead me to anything.
As for what Tene said, it's true that there will be many other pixelmon servers out there. Hell, I have my own Pixelmon server.

Second link took you to the front page where the images could be access from.
It looks offscale because of what they did with the landscape. Wouldn't surprise me if parts were though, however nice it looks.

The environment is pretty but I don't really like the houses much.
-
It didn't look very playable either. Well at least it looked more like the first version of Kanto we had. You know, back before Johto was started?
-
It only looked good with a texture pack. Take that away and it's awful.
The only interesting feature is the elevated ground at hill instead of temporary hills like we have

I hate r/gaming with a passion.

Mmm. This showed up on my front page, but I normally avoid /r/gaming too much circlejerk.

If you hate that, go to /r/spacedick and try not to puke. Note: it is very NSFW.

And the majority of their hills aren't even correct. Some go the complete opposite way.

This was just posted on our MC forum page. Looks like there is another one:

Instead of confronting them I just reported the post so it would get deleted and no one would see it in future.
All these new pokemon/pixelmon servers coming out could be problematic for us.
Edited by 1ce for a more pleasant viewing size.

I like how our server has a little of our own cultural flare to it.
Although, their ledges make a tremendous amount more sense than our random dirt bumps.

The way those houses look...

No, they don't.
What people don't think about, is that the transition from one level to the level the ledge is on, is smooth. There is no such thing as a smooth incline in minecraft. Not to that small degree. Heck, even if that server wanted to do it, they did it wrong anyway. There is no "downward decline" in the ground leaving route 1, nor leaving Viridian Forest. They fucked up even that simple idea. And look at that little farm area in Pewter City. What kind of sense does it make to have the entire area elevated, when only the front of the farm is ledged? Why not elevate the entire city, and have a "smooth incline" to compensate the entire city up a little? It simply. Doesn't. Work.
-
If the ledges are smooth, why do we have to jump down from them in the actual game?

Ledges are smooth, not flat. If you're played X/Y you'd see the ledges aren't flat. Games in 2D don't show off the landscape very well.
