A Baby is in a 5x5x5x5 foot room.  Their is a door, no windows, and one box inside the room.  On top of the box there is a loaded handgun, and for the sake of the question we will assume, A: The baby can fire the gun, and B:  The baby can atlas crawl.  The gun is elevated 2 feet by the box making it so the baby could at any point get the gun from on top of the box.  To give size to the gun use this picture as reference http://twt-thumbs.washtimes.com/media/image/2015/01/06/rugerp95_s878x703.jpg?b60302235bb1e625786bc2cc185c8709e34d6534.  The Baby will be in this room for a period of 24 hours, and for the sake of the question hunger and thirst is not an issue.

Do the math, the box is in the center of the room, the baby was just placed in the room, and is able to move, and you know the size of the room

kay. assuming that the box and the gun are the only object in the room and it's a baby and the gun has colours, if the walls are coloured in contrast to the gun the baby will immediately go to the gun. the baby will the chew it. it will not fire randomly since it is not fired before. so it all depends on where the baby chews, which i assume will be random. taking that into consideration, the ratio would only be the ratio of the surface area assuming that when the baby plays with the gun it will only touch one spot, which it will not.  the trigger will be the sensitive spot, which is about 1/100. babies will only play with the gun until they get bored, which is a few seconds, about 17. so. 17 to 83 on 100 total units if the baby chews once per second. that's my ratio
